David Prutton has backed Leeds to draw against Preston on Saturday and still expects them to make the play-offs.
The Whites have been involved in the promotion picture all season and are striving to be in the top six.
Garry Monk’ side are fifth-placed in the Championship table and have a five-point cushion ahead of seventh-placed Fulham.
However, they have lost back-to-back games against Brentford and Reading, meaning fans at Elland Road are beginning to get anxious of possibly missing out on the play-offs.
They will be hoping to return to winning ways at the weekend when they host eight-placed Preston.
Sky Sports pundit Prutton has predicted a 1-1 scoreline, but still expects Leeds to go on and make the play-offs.
“This one is nicely poised,” Prutton told Sky Sports. “Simon Grayson has done a superb job at Preston and has a great affinity with Leeds, but will feel he has something to prove at his former club.
“Leeds have had a couple of poor results since the international break, but they’ve come too far this season to let it go from here and I think they’ll get the draw here and go on to make the play-offs.”
Leeds will be confident going into the Preston game after winning the previous meeting this season in comprehensive fashion.
The Yorkshire giants managed to win 4-1 at Deepdale, with four different players on the scoresheet for Monk’s side.
In other Leeds news, Neil Redfearn believes this attacker is being targeted by opponents.
