Tottenham are close to signing Galatasaray winger Bruma following a breakthrough in negotiations, according to a report.
ESPN FC claim the Premier League big hitters are on the verge of sealing a deal for the lightning quick attacker, 22, following three months of talks.
It is said that Spurs began dialogue with Galatasaray in January and there were on-off for some time but the transfer is now close to completion.
Bruma is out of contract in the summer of 2018 and the Turkish club have been unsuccessful in tying him down to a contract extension.
ESPN FC report that Galatasaray are still trying to tie Bruma down to a fresh agreement but may accept they will have to cash in on one of their prize assets.
There were widespread reports ahead of the January window, including from Squawka, that Spurs were keeping close tabs on Bruma, who has been in the full Portugal squad without being awarded his first senior cap.
“Besides Tottenham, there are other English clubs who are very attentive to Bruma,” said Balde, with clubs seemingly queuing up to take Bruma to the Premier League.
The north London outfit have been keen to add top young players to their vibrant side in recent windows and Bruma would fit the profile of the type of player that manager Mauricio Pochettino looks to recruit.
Spurs have also been strongly linked with a winger closer to home, Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha.
Bruma has been in fine form for Galatasaray this season, directly contributing to 14 league goals with eight goals and six assists from 24 matches.
In all competitions, he has scored eight goals and provided eight assists from 31 fixtures.
In other Tottenham transfer news, the club have sensationally terminated the contract of one of their emerging stars.
