'All the players would welcome him' – Lovren responds to rumours linking Liverpool with Serie A wizard

Dejan Lovren has talked up Liverpool target and fellow Croatian international Ivan Perisic.
The Sun claims that Manchester United are leading the way to secure the signing of the Serie A wizard in the summer but Liverpool and Chelsea are also in the hunt to bolster their attacking options.
The 28-year-old has been in fine form for Inter Milan this season and has scored nine and assisted seven goals in 33 appearances across all competitions.
Lovren, who has been left out of the last six league matches, believes that Perisic can offer a great deal of ability and football knowledge to Jurgen Klopp’s squad.
“A player like Perisic moving to Liverpool would be great,” said Lovren, as quoted by Croatian outlet Jutarnji, “He is a top quality player.

“At Liverpool, all the players would welcome him with open arms. Obviously I do not know if it is true [the rumours].
“What I can say is that he has exceptional football skills, knowledge and a higher than average quality.”
Perisic has been on the books at Inter Milan since 2015 and has impressed ever since.
Before moving to Italy, the 55-time Croatian international also had spells at Wolfburg and Klopp’s former club Borussia Dortmund and he was part of the team that won the 2011/12 Bundesliga with BVB under the leadership of the current Liverpool boss.
He is known for his goal-getting style of play on the left wing where he uses his electrifying pace and directness to cut inside and shoot at goal.
This season has seen Perisic play predominantly on the left side of attack, but he can also play behind the striker or on the right.
The move for the Croatian attacker could be seen as a way of replacing Philippe Coutinho, who has been constantly linked with a move to Barcelona in recent weeks.
