Askou has no doubt impressed at Motherwell.
His work has the Steelmen on track for European qualification, and they were even in the title mix until their recent downturn in form.

However, this work has now been noticed elsewhere, with the Daily Record on 24 April confirming that he is under serious consideration to become the new Copenhagen manager.
The 43-year-old was previously the assistant coach at the club, and could now make a sensational return as their manager.
If this goes through, it would be an embarrassment for Celtic and Desmond.
Askou has clearly been one of their top targets for months, and their lack of pull and movement for the coach could now see him go elsewhere.
If this happens, it would be a colossal failure for Desmond, who is already on thin ice with supporters.
Who else is linked to the Celtic job?
Football Insider has exclusively revealed that Roberto Martinez is another manager considered by Celtic.
Currently, he is in charge of the Portugal National Team, and is set to guide the country to the 2026 World Cup.
However, his future after the tournament is less certain, with Martinez having plenty of admirers.
If Celtic desire to bring Martinez to the club, they will have to offer him a sizeable contract.
Therefore, it remains to be seen if Desmond would be prepared to do this, or if he will go for a cheaper option.
Other names linked have been Robbie Keane and Ange Postecoglou. However, it is unknown if either coach would be prepared to return to the Hoops in the summer.
