Details revealed of West Ham bid for Jarrod Bowen after gatecrash - Sources
West Ham have offered £16million including add-ons for Jarrod Bowen, Football Insider has learned.
The east Londoners have gatecrashed the race for the in-demand Hull City forward, 23, after his sensational form in the opening half of the campaign.
A West Ham source has told Football Insider the club have lodged a formal bid for Bowen as they look to beat Crystal Palace and Newcastle United to his signature.
The Hammers are also willing to hand Bowena long-term contract worth more than £60,000-a-week.
David Moyes’ side are in the market for more firepower ahead of Friday night’s transfer deadline after drawing another blank in their 2-0 Premier League defeat to Liverpool last night.
Bowen is keen to join a Premier League club and Hull are facing a major battle to keep him as he is out of contract this summer.

The Championship club have the option to extend his deal by a further 12 months but that has not yet been activated amid doubts over whether he wants to stay.
West Ham’s interest in Bowen dates back to the start of this window but they were reluctant to get drawn into a bidding war for such a key target for so many top-flight teams.
He is third in the Championship top scorers’ list this season behind only Brentford’s Ollie Watkins and Fulham’s Aleksandar Mitrovic, who both have 18.
The Hull academy product has 16 in the league and one in the FA Cup despite operating as a right-sided attacker rather than as an orthodox spearhead.
He has also supplied five assists in his 29 league matches this season and has an outstanding record of 54 goals and 13 assists from 131 matches for the second-tier club.
In other West Ham news, David Sullivan has told David Moyes “I’ve got you a present” as he finalises mega-money deal in late signing blizzard.
