Liverpool fans have taken to social media to voice their frustrations after it was revealed Diogo Jota is set to be sidelined for longer than expected.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference ahead of their League Cup tie with Brighton on Wednesday (October 30), Arne Slot revealed that the 27-year-old won't feature before the November international break.

When asked whether Jota would return before the international break starting on November 10, Slot simply replied, “No.”

The Portuguese forward picked up a rib injury in their 2-1 Premier League win over Chelsea on matchday eight after tangling with defender Tosin Adarabioyo.

Slot's team is currently missing four other first-team players due to injuries, with Alisson Becker, Harvey Elliot, Federico Chiesa, and Connor Bradley all out of action.

Liverpool fans start to turn on Diogo Jota as new details emerge

With four goals and two assists in 10 games across all competitions so far this season, Jota is third behind Mohamed Salah and Luiz Diaz in the Liverpool scoring charts.

Despite his impressive start to the season, Liverpool fans have taken to X, formally known as Twitter, to voice their frustrations over his consistent injury problems.
