'Disgustingly good', 'Loving it' - Rangers fans in dreamland over done deal for award winner

Rangers fans have taken to social media to rave over the club’s capture of Jamie Murphy after he turned his loan deal from Brighton into a permanent move ahead of the summer.

The Light Blues confirmed via their official website and official Twitter account that they had agreed terms with the 28-year-old over a long-term stay at Ibrox, putting pen to paper over a three-year deal.

Murphy had arrived from Brighton in January and went on to impress the Gers faithful, making 19 appearances and scoring five goals during his half season at the club.

Of those five strikes, he was awarded the Light Blues’ goal of the year season for his effort against Hearts, which helped his loan side on the way to a 2-0 finish.

His deal is the third new arrival at Ibrox in the past couple of days, following Scott Arfield and Allan McGregor in committing their futures to the club as Rangers look to conduct their transfer business early prior to Steven Gerrard’s imminent arrival, the Liverpool legend taking over as manager on June 1st.

Murphy’s capture was received extremely well with fans on Twitter, with many looking forward to the slew of new signings continuing over the coming weeks.
