'Insipid', 'Dodgy' - Celtic fans deliver brutal verdict on 22-year-old for display v Dundee
Celtic fans on social media weren’t happy with the performance of centre-back Jack Hendry against his old team Dundee, in a match which ended in a goalless draw.
The 22-year-old was making only his fourth start of the season for the Bhoys in place of Kristoffer Ajer, and supporters feel that the £1million signing failed to take his chance to impress Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers.
Hendry rather surprisingly played alongside Dedryck Boyata who kept his place in the team despite a poor performance against Ross County on Saturday.
Both Boyata and Hendry struggled against the long ball tactics adopted by Neil McCann’s side, with Craig Gordon having to bail the defence out on a few occasions.
Here are some of the best reactions from Twitter to Hendry’s performance against the Dens Park side:
Hendry is nae Krissy Ajer

Poor challenge from Scott Brown on Roarie Deacon, terrible pass from Jack Hendry and Brown took one for the team pic.twitter.com/YihlKlq9Ve

Oooooooh Boyata and Hendry ball watching, Hendry back headers it to Gordon and Gordon barely gets to it.

Ajer was not dropped for Hendry, he was dropped for Boyata and that was a mistake.

Hendry has yet to convince fans since he joined the Hoops that he was worth the money that the Bhoys paid for him.

The Hoops still have to find a solid defensive partnership for the future, as Boyata and Hendry failed to take their chance against the Dens Park side.
It seems inevitable for the rest of the season that the defence will consist of the 19-year-old Norwegian Ajer and one other player, and going by his latest performance it won’t be Hendry.
