Everton striker Romelu Lukaku is set to commit his long-term future to the club by signing a new deal, according to a report.
The Daily Star claim that the 23-year-old is set to double his wages to a lucrative £140,000-a-week, and extend his stay at the Merseyside club until the summer of 2022.
It is also believed that Everton will have completed the deal before their Premier League clash with West Brom on Saturday, a deal that would see Lukaku become their highest ever paid player.
Lukaku’s agent, Mino Raiola, had earlier claimed that a deal between the two clubs was ‘99.9% agreed’, and it now appears to be on the verge of completion.
The potential new deal will be of huge relief to Everton fans, who have been praying for their star goalscorer to remain at the club and fight for their place in Europe in the coming years.

However, it doesn’t fully commit Lukaku to staying at Everton, although it should ensure a better price for the club if he was to depart.
Everton had first pressed to begin talks with Lukaku over an extended deal back in August, but amid interest from other clubs, negotiations continued to stall.
The Belgium international had been strongly linked with the exit door at Goodison Park, with former club Chelsea believed to be keen to bring him back to London this summer.
Lukaku has been in exceptional form for Everton this season, scoring 18 Premier League goals from 26 appearances, including four against Bournemouth last month.
