Henry Onyekuru has revealed on social media that he has secured a move to Everton.
The highly-rated Nigerian international posted a picture of himself in front of the Toffees logo on his personal Instagram account on Tuesday night.
The Liverpool Echo claims that the 20-year-old will move to Merseyside in a deal worth £7million from Belgian top-flight outfit KAS Eupen.
It is understood that Onyekuru had his medical on Monday, but will have to wait to make his debut for Everton, as he will be sent out on loan to Anderlecht for the season.
The report says that director of football Steve Walsh and manager Ronald Koeman see Onyekuru as an exciting prospect for the future rather than an instant first-team player, despite his huge success in the Jupiler League with Eupen last term.
The one-time Nigeria international, who can play as a striker or on either wing, scored 24 goals and crafted nine assists in 41 appearances across all competitions in what was his first campaign in top-level European football.
Everton are yet to make an official announcement about the signing of Onyekuru, but the youngster’s social media activity has confirmed that he is now a Blues player.

Onyekuru seems to have the potential to be a real star in the future, and Everton have definitely unearthed a gem. The Nigerian youngster could lead the line as soon as next season for Ronald Koeman’s side and a loan move to Anderlecht is definitely going to benefit his development. The Brussels-based outfit is known for bringing through some of Europe’s most exciting talent so Onyekuru is definitely in very capable hands there. £7million appears to be a steal too, because a player of his age and ability can hand the Toffees with a huge profit in the future if he attracts the attention of some of the continent’s richest clubs. There’s no way this deal can go wrong.
