Aston Villa are showing no signs of stopping their January spending spree as Bury manager Chris Brass confirmed the Midlands team were set to complete the signing of Jacob Bedeau.
ESPN Correspondent Pete O’Rourke reported the news on his personal Twitter account after Brass’ confirmation.
The 17-year-old is set to follow in the footsteps of fellow additions, Sam Johnstone, Henri Lansbury, James Bree, Birkir Bjarnason and Conor Hourihane.

Bedeau has played seven games in all competitions this season as the highly-rated player has been left out of recent matches as Villa aimed to to add him to their ranks.
He is now set to swap League One for the Championship where he could possibly play a part in Steve Bruce’s promotion chasing team or join their development squad.
Football Insider verdict:
Villa have beaten a number of top flight clubs to the signing of the highly-rated centre-back. Despite so much interest in the youngster, he has not played that much league football which perhaps suggests the potential he has. Due to his lack of experience in first-team football, the 17-year-old may end up in Villa’s development squad. However, he may prove to be a great purchase for the future due to the interest in him and the relative low fee that has been paid for him. In the modern age of football, a lot of money is pumped into buying young English talent, but Villa will not lose out on much if Bedeau does not live up to expectations. All in all, supporters will be pleased with the signing and hoping Bruce adds more players to the promotion-chasing squad.
