That’s one pursuit ended for Liverpool and for it to come to a conclusion at an early stage is definitely a good thing. This means that Klopp can now begin looking at different targets to bring in and bolster his midfield options and his scouts can be sent to watch other players on his shortlist. Even though Dahoud is an exciting prospect, there are better options out there for Liverpool as the 21-year-old’s stats this season haven’t been entirely electrifying. Strengthening the defence has to remain the priority at Liverpool and this is where Klopp should focus most of his efforts.
