Birmingham City fans are far from impressed with the release of their new home kit for the 2026-27 campaign.

The Blues released their highly anticipated jersey on Monday ahead of the new season kicking off in just under two weeks.

There are big expectations at Birmingham this season, with Chris Davies expected to have the club in the promotion mix.

However, the new kit release has not hit many fans’ expectations, with many disappointed with the design.

This has led to many supporters expressing their frustration out on X, as they refuse to buy the new top.

It is expected to be used for the first time by the players in their upcoming friendly match against Barcelona on Friday, 31 July.

Birmingham City fans appalled by new home kit design

For the 2026-27 campaign, Birmingham City’s home kit has unsurprisingly remained dark blue, the traditional colour of the club.

The kit has added a collar with small white stripes going through sections on the collar and on the shoulders.

Coral is the main shirt sponsor that is featured in the middle of the jersey, with the Birmingham City badge placed in the usual top left section of the shirt.

However, many fans feel that this kit lacks “imagination” and is simply a cheap template that has been reused by kit manufacturer Nike.

As a result, many supporters have made it clear to the club that they will not be buying the new kit this season after the disappointing release.

How much is Birmingham City’s new home kit?

Birmingham City’s new home kit is available to buy from Tuesday, 28 July at 9am and in the Club Shop at St. Andrew's @ Knighthead Park from 12pm.

An adult home shirt is priced at £65, whereas a junior’s is priced at £50.

The shorts are also available for £36 for an adult and £32 for juniors, with the socks priced at £20.

On top of this, an infant home kit is priced at £50 and a kids’ full kit is available for £55.

However, it remains to be seen how many Birmingham are able to sell over the coming weeks after significant fan backlash over the design of the home kit.
