Sources say that the Baggies have won the race for the teenage central defender after reaching a full agreement with the player on personal terms.
Morrison already looks set to add Chelsea youngster Jimmy-Jay Morgan to the squad, and the Championship outfit have already turned their attention to an Anfield raid.
Although Pinnington has no first-team experience for the Reds just yet, the youngster could follow in the footsteps of Nat Phillips, who has impressed since joining the Baggies.

On Merseyside, supporters have compared his footballing journey to Jarell Quansah's, who is now a star in the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen, and linked with a big-money move back to Anfield.
Morrison will also love the fact that Pinnington can be slotted into the defensive midfield spot, and has also shown leadership skills when captaining England's youth teams.
