Swindon Town set sights on signing Hull City starlet Ramell Carter
Hull City forward Ramell Carter is a loan target for Swindon Town this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
The 18-year-old striker is highly regarded at the Tigers and is expected to be involved with the first-team for pre-season before a decision is made on his future.
The talented forward was a regular goalscorer for the club's Under-18s and Under-21s last season, and Swindon are set to battle a number of League Two clubs in hopes of taking him on loan for the next campaign.
Carter joined Hull City from Tottenham Hotspur in 2014 and penned a professional contract at the club in February.
Swindon are aiming to increase their firepower after narrowly missing out on the playoffs during the 2025-26 campaign.
The club finished the season in ninth, three points off Grimsby Town, who secured the final spot inside the top seven.
Swindon Town aiming to reinforce their frontline
Swindon Town saw many of their attackers leave the club at the end of the 2025-26 campaign.
Players such as Billy Bodin and Junior Hoilett left upon the expiry of their contracts, leaving gaps up top.
Ian Holloway may be hoping that Carter can help fill one of these vacancies in a potential loan deal.
Swindon were one of the best attacking teams in League Two in the 2025-26 season as they netted 70 goals in 46 games.
As a result, they ended the campaign as the joint-sixth highest scorers in the second tier, and they will be aiming to improve upon this total in the coming season.
What other business could Hull City complete this summer?
Former Manchester United chief Mick Brown exclusively told Football Insider that Leeds could let Joe Gelhardt leave for a low fee this summer transfer window.
The Leeds United attacker is no longer in Daniel Farke’s plans after his successful loan move to Hull City.
The Tigers are keen on completing a permanent deal after he scored 14 goals in the Championship on the club’s run to promotion.
With Leeds seemingly open to a deal as Farke looks to cash in and reinvest the money elsewhere, confidence is growing that the striker could remain at Hull.
However, it remains to be seen if a deal can be struck, with plenty of twists and turns expected over the summer.
