Erling Haaland sends ‘thankyou’ message to fans after key development
Man City striker Erling Haaland shared a heartfelt message to supporters on social media following his latest performance whilst away on international duty.
Haaland has netted three times in three games so far for Man City this season, but Pep Guardiola’s side have struggled to find consistency, managing just one league victory so far.
After Man City’s thrashing of Wolves, some may have thought a corner had already been turned at the club following the number of changes and arrivals. However, back-to-back defeats against Spurs and Brighton quickly dampened that positivity.
Despite his club’s struggles, Haaland has continued his top goalscoring form, amid all the changes with new players, such as Tijjani Reijnders and Rayan Cherki, surrounding him.
Now, with club football on pause, the striker has turned his attention to international duty, where he has struck the net once again.

Erling Haaland scores winning goal in Norway tie
The Man City striker has sustained his goal-scoring form from club-level into international football as he scored the only goal for Norway in their win over Finland.
He posted on Instagram after the victory with pictures from the game and a message to say: “Thanks for the support Oslo, now eyes on Tuesday!”
He saw fellow Norwegian Sander Berge share a like on his post as well as club teammate Savinho, who stayed Man City despite constant speculation around his future.
As for Norway, they host Moldova on Tuesday (9 September), with the side aiming to continue their 100% record for the World Cup qualifiers.
The last time Norway qualified for the World Cup was in 1998 but they currently top their group, and hope to continue their form.

Pep Guardiola faces sack pressure at Man City
International break may have come at the right time for Guardiola, following back-to-back defeats and pressure already rising.
Former club scout at Man United and Tottenham Mick Brown told Football Insider that Guardiola could face pressure at Man City following their difficult start to the campaign.
This comes after Brown told Football Insider in February that Guardiola has been frustrated at Man City and had grown impatient with his squad. But now, with the multiple changes in place and results not improving, questions may again turn towards the manager’s future.
