Man City striker Erling Haaland has posted a message on social media ahead of the Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain.

The 23-year-old Norweigan striker just signed a nine-and-a-half year long contract with the Citizens, making him the highest paid player in Europe.

The former Borussia Dortmund striker has had a good season and is second, with 17 goals, behind Mohamed Salah (18 goals) in the race for the Premier League golden boot.

Haaland was on the scoresheet in City's most recent game, a 6-0 win over Ipswich Town (19 January).

City have had a poor season by recent standards, sitting in fifth, 12 points behind league-leaders Liverpool, who also have a game in hand on the Sky Blues

Erling Haaland shares new update ahead of crucial Man City match

City's poor form this season has not been limited to the Premier League, as the Sky Blues find themselves in a surprising 22nd place in the Champions League table.

If City fail to win either of their next two games against PSG (22 January) and Club Brugge (29 January), they face the daunting prospect of potentially going out in the group stage.

Sandwiched between both European ties is a league match against Chelsea, and those next three matches could be define their season.

However, the pressure does not seem to be getting to either of Haaland and Grealish, as they were all smiles on the Norwegian's Instagram story, captioned: "On our way to Paris!!"

Whilst Haaland has committed his long-term future to the club, question marks remain over Grealish's future and behind-the-scenes sources shared an update on the former Aston Villa man.
