Ronald Koeman is resigned to losing star striker Romelu Lukaku at Everton this summer, according to a report.

Lukaku has been heavily linked with a move away from Goodison Park and it was said that the Belgian wanted to be at a European heavyweight with Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Arsenal among the clubs interested.

The Sun claim that Koeman is now stepping up his search for a new striker, having missed out on signing Graziano Pelle.

Pelle joined Shandong Luneng on Monday, despite interest from Everton to reunite Pelle with Koeman.

According to the Daily Telegraph, Everton value £28million record-signing Lukaku at £75million following his exploits over the last three years at Goodison Park.

The striker played in Belgium's shock Euro 2016 quarter-final exit to Wales two weeks ago, and after the match gave little away about about his future.

Everton's number 10, who moved to Chelsea from Anderlecht back in 2011, scored an impressive 25 goals in all competitions in what was a disappointing season under manager Roberto Martinez.

Toffees fans were given a boost last week though, when  it was reported Lukaku may make a massive u-turn about his future at the club.
