European giants eye £60,000-a-week Tottenham star - reports

By Harvey Byrne

Manchester City, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Barcelona are all eyeing Tottenham star Danny Rose, according to a report.

The Sun has claimed in it’s Friday print edition (page 69) that the 26-year-old full-back would have a pick of the biggest club’s in Europe if he did leave north London in the summer.

It is said that the quartet are just four of a long list of admirers in the left-back ace, who has been in fine form this season.

Additionally, it is reported that Pep Guardiola is planning an overhaul of his ageing City team this summer and it is said that Rose fits the profile of the players he is looking to bring in.

The England international has been in fine form for Tottenham since his £1million move from Leeds in the summer of 2007.

However, this season he has stepped up his performances even further and many now feel the pacey full-back is among the best in the Premier League.

He was was also awarded a new contract in September taking him up until 2021 and the Daily Star claims he is now earning £60,000-a-week.

Spurs fans will be hoping their club can keep hold of as many of their stars as possible.

Football Insider verdict:

Rose is a must keep for Tottenham no matter how much money a club throws in their direction for the full-back star. The player is certainly one of the best in the Premier League and maybe even Europe following his impressive displays in Europe and like the north London club found when they sold Gareth Bale, it is often hard to replace top players no matter how much money a club receives. There is definitely no other left-back as good as Rose who would be a realistic purchase and Spurs must ensure they keep hold of the defender if they want to continue progressing.
