Everton backed to complete 'top-quality' Harry Winks signing after journalist's update - Robinson
Paul Robinson has heaped praise on Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks amid interest from Everton.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former White Hart Lane number one is adamant Toffees manager Frank Lampard can get the best out of the “top-quality” 26-year-old next season.
Winks is expected to leave Spurs this summer having failed to establish himself as a regular under Antonio Conte.
According to The Telegraph‘s Matt Law (7 June), the centre-midfielder is on a list of targets for Everton.
A loan move is said to be most likely given Everton’s financial situation.
Winks has two years remaining on his contract with Spurs.

When asked by Football Insider for his assessment of Winks’ future, Robinson said: “Whoever gets Harry Winks is getting a top-quality player and professional.
“He has a lot to prove after a period out of the side at Spurs. He has not had his opportunities.
“It was not too long ago that he was an England regular. He has so much to give and a lot to prove. He wants to do that week in, week out at a top club.
“It hasn’t worked out for Dele Alli at Everton but I think it would be different for Harry. I think Frank could nurture him and appreciate his quality. I think it would be a great fit.
“Winks is a reliable, honest, top professional. Whoever gets him is getting a great player. He is still more than capable of playing at the top level.”
