Everton could spend 'hundreds of millions' after source's Frank Lampard update - pundit
Everton must back Frank Lampard with “hundreds of millions” in the transfer market after deciding to keep him on.
That’s according to former Hibernian striker Tam McManus, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Toffees’ transfer plans.
Everton have only won once in their last eight games across all competitions and are just one place and one point above the bottom three after losing 3-0 to Bournemouth last weekend (12 November).
McManus insists the Goodison board must put their money where their mouth’s are in terms of backing their manager.
“Well, they have made that decision now,” McManus told Football Insider‘s Ben Wild.

“They have to back him in January and back him properly. There were signings in the summer but I’m not sure how much they spent, I don’t think it was too much.
“You look at the hundreds of millions Everton have spent in the past. If you give Lampard the same chance then he can build his own squad.
“They need goals, Calvert-Lewin isn’t doing it and gets injured all of the time. Maupay hasn’t git the ground running like people thought he would.
“So if they are sticking with Lampard then stick with him. Don’t give him a few games then sack him.
“They have Wolves in their first game back, that has to be a must-win.”
