Ramiro Funes Mori was recalled to the starting XI against West Ham – and the Everton supporters were divided on Twitter with his inclusion.

Ronald Koeman has made two changes to his side for the Premier League clash at Goodison Park on Sunday.

Joel Robles has replaced the injured Maarten Stekelenburg in goal, while Funes Mori has been preferred to Phil Jagielka in defence.

Everton are sixth-placed in the table and have the opportunity to move three points ahead of Manchester United, who are currently in eighth.

Everton fans voiced contrasting opinions of Funes Mori’s inclusion against West Ham, but did agree it is a big opportunity for the fringe player to impress.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Funes Mori, 25, moved to Goodison Park in 2015 from Argentinian side River Plate and the defender cost £9.5million.

The centre-back has made seven appearances in all competitions this season, but has been behind Jagielka and Ashley Williams in the pecking order.

He will hope to impress against West Ham on just his third league start of the campaign and contribute to Everton’s strong start to the season.

In other Everton team news, they have suffered a fresh injury blow to a key midfielder.
