Everton fans have taken to Twitter to react to the news that Watford have sacked manager Marco Silva.
The Hornets confirmed on their official Twitter account on Sunday that Silva, 40, had left Vicarage Road after a poor run of form and had announced on their official website that an “unwarranted approach by a Premier League rival” played a huge part in the decision.

Everton were widely reported to have made multiple approaches for Silva during their search for a new manager in November.
The Toffees reportedly made offers worth over £10million in compensation to lure the Portuguese boss away from Vicarage Road to be successor to Ronald Koeman.
After failing in their hunt for Silva, Everton eventually settled for Sam Allardyce after a very drawn-out process.
Now, with Silva available after being sacked by Watford, Everton fans have taken to Twitter to react to the news.

Sooo… Marco Silva sacked from Watford, he is a free agent. Sure we have to wait for that appointment until the summer? #EFC

I'd rather Silva than Allardyce, infact I'd rather have Moyes than Allardyce and I hate Moyes. #EFC

Silva joined Watford from Hull in the summer despite overseeing the Tigers’ relegation from the Premier League.
He had a great start to life with the Hornets, but with just one win in his last six, it was too bad a run for the clubs’ owners to sit by and let carry on.
Watford are aiming to come to a speedy resolution to their manager hunt.
In other Everton news, the Toffees are willing to offload this £28.8million duo this month.
