'Awful', 'Clumsy and brainless' - Everton fans destroy senior player on Twitter after loss v Chelsea
By Matt Bullin
Everton fans have criticised Phil Jagielka’s performance after their sides’ 3-0 defeat to Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.
After an even first 45 minutes, Pedro broke the deadlock for his side with a superb 30 yard strike into the top left corner of the goal.
Gary Cahill then poked home from Eden Hazard’s free kick in the 79th minute, before Willian slotted Cesc Fabregas’ cross into the far corner with just four minutes remaining to wrap up a superb three points at Goodison Park.
The result leaves them seven points clear at the top of the table, while Everton are left in seventh, two points adrift of Arsenal.
They now look destined to finish seventh, as despite only being two points behind the Gunners, they have played three games more than them.

Jagielka, 34, played the full 90 minutes as his side fell to a disappointing defeat.
However the Toffees faithful were not impressed with the senior man’s performance against Chelsea and they slammed him on Twitter.

If we want to compete next season the likes of Stekelenburg, Jagielka, Williams, Kone and Valencia can't be anywhere near our squad
