By Joe Nelson

Everton have had a £3million bid rejected for Ludogorets left-back Natanael Pimienta, according to a report.

The Sun have claimed on their live transfer blog (11.23am) that the 25-year-old is hoping that the Toffees will come back with a better offer for his services.

The diminutive Natanael, as he is known, has impressed at the Bulgarian club since his move from Atlético Paranaense in 2015.

The Cuiabá-born defender has two years remaining on his contract with the Bulgarian champions, who have been drawn in a group in the Champions League alongside Arsenal, PSG and Swiss side Basel.

Ronald Koeman may be looking at the defender to replace Brendan Galloway, who has joined West Brom on loan for the season.

He could become Everton’s fifth summer transfer, after the additions of Yannick Bolasie, Idrissa Gueye, Ashley Williams and Martin Stekelenburg.

He has made 37 appearances for Ludogorets, scoring three goals in the process. The flying left-back also notched ten goals in his 57 appearances for his former club Atletico Paranaense.

The defender can also be deployed at left wing and he also has experience playing in the right-back role.

In other Everton transfer news, this winger may be heading for a deadline day medical as the Toffees look to smash their transfer record.
