Everton in pole position to sign Ramsey as £8m cash 'ready to go' - Kenny
Everton can use the cash they have saved from James Rodriguez’s departure to sign “top-quality” Aaron Ramsey.
So says ex-Premier League shot-stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Toffees’ January transfer options.
The Sun reported on 25 September that Juventus are willing to let the Welshman leave for free this January.
The midfielder still has two years left to run on his deal in Turin and Everton, West Ham and Newcastle United are all reportedly interested.
This site revealed on 12 September that the Toffees failed to sell Rodriguez over the summer because of his goliath £250,000-a-week wages.
The playmaker had eight months remaining on his Everton deal before his exit to Al Rayyan was confirmed by the club on 22 September.

That means the Merseysiders have saved approximately £8million in wages.
Kenny claimed that the Toffees are in a perfect position to sign Ramsey as a result.
“He would be a bargain on a free transfer,” he told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams.
“Wages these days are expensive but he would be a brilliant signing on a free. He is a top-quality player and it’s a shame it hasn’t worked out in Italy.
“They have managed to get Rodriguez off the wage bill. I couldn’t believe the money he was on. That’s absolutely crazy.
“So it’s good that they have freed up that money and that’s ready to go. They can bring other players in with that, and Ramsey could be one of them.”
