Everton are now the strong favourites to sign Olivier Giroud from Premier League rivals Arsenal, according to the latest leading bookmaker's odds.

West Ham were the favourites for Giroud's signature but it has been reported that they have pulled out of the race after Giroud signalled they were not his preferred destination.

Sky Sports report that West Ham are no longer interested in signing Giroud, despite leading the hunt earlier in the summer.

Following that news, West Ham have dropped to a long-shot 16/1 to sign the French international, and PL rivals Everton are now strong favourites.

According to the latest SkyBet odds, Everton are now just even money to sign the striker who scored 12 goals in 29 Premier League appearances for Arsenal last season.

The future of Giroud at Arsenal has been under heavy speculation since the arrival of Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon for £45million.

Giroud has a good record for Arsenal and has enjoyed a prolific international career, with 27 goals in 64 games for France.

Lacazette scored his first goal for Arsenal after coming on as a substitute in the 2-0 victory against Sydney FC on the club's pre-season tour.

It took him just 15 minutes to find the back of the net with a cool, composed finish from an Alex Iwobi cross.

However, Everton won't have it all their own way after the Mirror reported that Borussia Dortmund were interested.

The European giants are second favourites behind Everton at odds of 9/2, and could be looking to replace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang if he moves to Chelsea.

In other Everton transfer news, the Toffees are on the verge of selling this player to Sunderland.
