Everton should be eyeing a fresh deal for Arsenal gem Ethan Nwaneri this summer after missing out on his signature.
The Toffees were strongly linked with the 19-year-old talent during the winter transfer window, only for the youngster to choose a move to Ligue 1 giants Marseille over Merseyside.
Despite grabbing two goals and an assist in nine games, it is fair to say that the decision has backfired for all parties, with the attacking midfielder struggling for minutes in recent weeks.
Everton’s interest in Nwaneri should never have cooled, but given his current situation and the Gunners already having too many stars in the squad for next season, they must jump to the front of the queue.

The young star has been given just 48 minutes of football in the last four matches, unable to even get off the bench against Metz or Nice, clearly not being rated by manager Habib Beye.
He has already proven himself back in England, though, having notched nine goals and two assists during the 2024-25 campaign. He just needs a steady inflow of minutes to get his career back on track.
The Hill Dickinson Stadium could be the perfect place for that to happen, and there is even the chance of Moyes adding him to the squad permanently due to the Gunners’ transfer situation.

Summer move could spell bad news for Harrison Armstrong
Although Harrison Armstrong has been touted to be Everton’s next star, the 19-year-old has not been given very many minutes recently, with his last start coming back in February.
His future already looks to be dimming under Moyes’ leadership, with a loan deal likely on the cards, and his prospects of earning a more important position next season are only going to lessen.
Nwaneri is Premier League-proven, but he requires regular minutes to be able to prove himself. With Jack Grealish’s transfer not a guarantee, he could be the perfect creative replacement next season.
Of course, Moyes would have to work him into the squad alongside Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Iliman Ndiaye, but given his talents, it should be easy enough to find a place for him.
