Everton news: Dominic Calvert-Lewin and three other Everton stars eyeing transfers as 'massive' claim issued - pundit

Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison, Allan and Yerry Mina may not have their heart in the relegation battle as they will be eyeing up a move away from Everton.

That is the view of ex-Aston Villa and England attacker Gabby Agbonlahor, speaking exclusively to Football Insider ahead of Everton’s crunch clash with Burnley on Wednesday night.

Frank Lampard’s side go into the game at Turf Moor four points above Burnley in 19th and three above Watford in 18th.

As quoted by the Liverpool Echo yesterday (5 April), Lampard revealed Mina will miss the game with injury while Allan will serve the final match of a three-game suspension but Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison are fully fit.

“It’s such a big game, a massive game,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.

“If Burnley lose tonight, they are relegated. The pressure is on Burnley because if they don’t win they are running out of games.

“This is the perfect chance to go a point behind Everton with a game in hand, what a way to set yourself up.

“I fancy Burnley, I don’t think Everton have got the character.

“The difference is the Burnley players are probably on the third-lowest wages as a club in the Premier League. Their players have been playing in the Premier League for five or six years now and don’t want to go back down on Championship wages.

“Everton players will all be thinking ‘Oh I can get a move’. The likes of Richarlison, Calvert-Lewin, Allan and Mina so a game like tonight will mean less for them.

“Burnley will be out there fighting, it’s the biggest game in the last five or six years for Burnley. It’s a cup final for them.”

In other news, it can be revealed that Kevin Thelwell tried to sign a top new Everton target when he was at Wolves.
