Everton scouts track 18-year-old attacker - report
By Dominic Toner
Everton are interested in Sassuolo youngster Gianluca Scamacca, according to a report.
Italian outlet Calcio Mercato claim that the Toffees are keeping tabs on the rising 18-year-old star and that their scouts have been tracking the attacker.
The report details that Premier League rivals Leicester and Italian giants AC Milan are also in the hunt for his signature.
Scamacca completed a move to Italian club Sassuolo in the January window from PSV and has been a part of the youth side so far.
The forward has made 13 appearances so far and scored five goals in return, while also chipping in with one assist.

He is regarded as an exciting upcoming talent and scored three goals in four appearances for Italy’s Under-18s side.
Scamacca immediately stands out from most strikers as the youngster is already 6 ft 5 and his physical presence could be well suited to the Premier League.
Football Insider verdict:
Scamacca is an exciting young talent and his physical stature is certainly something that could be useful in England’s top flight. The forward is highly rated and has made a good start in Sassuolo’s youth side, with his talents also being recognised at international level. However, he is yet to make a first team breakthrough and should not be an Everton priority in the summer. The Toffees need to bring in a proven goal scorer in the window, especially if star man Romelu Lukkau leaves Goodison Park. Ronald Koeman has shown a desire to promote youth at Everton and that is why a move for Scamacca wouldn’t necessarily be a bad thing, but an established striker should be the main goal.
In other Everton transfer news, they are set to battle rivals Liverpool for a 70time capped international.
