Everton duo Kevin Mirallas and Morgan Schneiderlin were dismissed from training and left out of the squad for the win against Watford after a training ground row with club legend Duncan Ferguson, according to a report.
The Telegraph claim that the players were sent home from training after failing to apply themselves during a session led by Ferguson, with neither player named in the squad to face Watford on Sunday.
According to the report, Ferguson asked them to knuckle down or go home and the players returned to the dressing room at the club’s Finch Farm training complex.
The two were then ordered to leave Finch Farm, and caretaker manager David Unsworth took further action by dropping them for the game against Watford.
Everton came back from two goals down to secure a morale-boosting 3-2 win against the Hornets, a first win for the Toffees under Unsworth.
French international Schneiderlin has disappointed since moving to Goodison from Manchester United, and his form this season has been especially bad.
He was sent off as Everton dropped out of the Europa League with a 3-0 defeat to Lyon last week.
Belgian winger Mirallas has been at Everton for five years now, and despite showing more than a few glimpses of his quality, has failed to consistently nail down a starting spot.
