Everton table jawdropping offer for left footer who has ripped it up in 2018 - report
By Richard Parks
Everton have tabled a “huge offer” to Jack Wilshere as they look to win the race for his signature, according to a report.
The Mirror claim that the Merseysiders have made their desire to land the Arsenal midfielder crystal clear by tabling a massive contract offer for the 26-year-old central midfielder.
It is said that Wilshere would prefer to remain at boyhood club Arsenal but is unhappy with the £90,000-a-week contract he has been offered, which is less than his current £110,000-a-week deal due to his injury history.
The Mirror report that newly-promoted Wolves have joined Everton, Liverpool and Manchester City in the race to land the England international this summer, while there is also interest from Juventus and Inter Milan.
Wilshere is out of contract at Arsenal in the summer and there will be no transfer fee involved.

Football Insider verdict:
It is significant that Everton are willing to throw the kind of money at left-footed Wilshere that Arsenal, burnt by his wretched injury record, are not. The Merseysiders are cash rich and safe in the knowledge that there will be no transfer fee for a proven Premier League player. Wilshere has showed signs this season of finally overcoming the injury problems that have decimated a career that once promise to make him a global great. He has made 35 appearances for the Gunners and been one of the team’s best players since the turn of the year. But his England pull-out during the last international break does not bode well for his hopes of making the World Cup squad, or of landing the mega contract from the Gunners that he is clearly holding out for. Nevertheless, the Arsenal academy product has the touch, vision and class to improve an Everton midfield that has looked short of top quality this season. He would be a fine signing provided – and it is a big ‘if’ – he steers clear of major injuries.
