New Everton manager Sam Allardyce could make a surprise move for Tottenham ace Danny Rose when the transfer window opens in January, according to a report.
The Daily Star claim Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is willing to sell the 27-year-old for £45million and that Everton could make a surprise swoop for the left-back.
Rose has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United, but this latest report states that new Toffees boss Allardyce will be given new funds to strengthen his squad in January and that he could try to sign him.
Tottenham sold right-back Kyle Walker to Premier League rivals Manchester City for £50million in the summer and it is understood Pochettino would be willing to sell another key first-team star in Rose, for the right price.
There has been speculation over the players future at Tottenham for months now, after he criticised the club for their transfer policy in the summer.
Pochettino is understood to only want players who are fully committed to the club and Rose has faced competition for a starting place this season with 24-year-old Wales left-back Ben Davies.
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is a long-term admirer of the player and Rose is understood to want to return to the north if he leaves the club.
In other Tottenham news, former Spurs manager Tim Sherwood believes Pochettino should start this fringe player every week.
