Sources: Everton agree Jack Harrison deal as medical completed after dramatic twist
Everton have agreed a deal to sign Leeds United winger Jack Harrison after fending off late Aston Villa interest, sources have told Football Insider.
The move is understood to be a straight loan deal without an option to buy after the Merseysiders triggered his release clause.
It is believed that Harrison, 26, has already completed an Everton medical and the transfer will be announced soon.
Aston Villa enquired about a similar deal but have withdrawn their interest because Harrison is currently injured and is likely to miss several weeks of the season.
Harrison signed a new five-year deal at Elland Road in April but the terms included a clause that can be triggered by clubs following relegation from the Premier League.
He was subject to a bid from Leicester City in the January transfer window only for the move to collapse dramatically at the eleventh hour. Harrison subsequently agreed fresh terms at Leeds.
The former Man City forward has missed the start of the Championship season with a hip injury and he has not figured in the club's opening two matches, a draw with Cardiff City and a defeat to Birmingham City.
Everton have also shown interest in Leeds forward Wilfried Gnonto but their offer of £20million has not been near his valuation.
Harrison would be Dyche’s most high-profile summer signing following the captures of Youssef Chermiti from Sporting Lisbon for over £12m and Ashley Young on a free transfer.
