Former Everton chief Keith Wyness believes the club sensationally value Jarrad Branthwaite at up to "£100million" amid interest from Real Madrid and Manchester United.

Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the 66-year-old – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – labelled Branthwaite a "huge talent" at Goodison Park and insisted his price tag has rocketed as a result.

The 21-year-old centre-back has been a breakthrough star for Everton this season with 30 appearances across all competitions and a reputation that has grown quickly.

He's only made 34 Premier League appearances in his entire career, and 43 in total for Everton either side of an impressive spell on loan at PSV Eindhoven last season.

However, with the Toffees struggling financially this season with two financial breaches and hit with a six-point deduction for the season, Branthwaite has been linked with a summer move away from Merseyside.

Spanish giants Real Madrid have also been linked with a move, as per the Daily Mail.

Is Everton star Branthwaite worth £100m this summer?

Wyness has backed Branthwaite to break into the England squad this summer and increase his value further with a strong performance in the Euros.

"I think Everton will look at the sort of £90million to £100million mark," Wyness told Football Insider.

"With a great Euros - and I think he is going to break into the England squad this summer - I think there’s no reason why he shouldn’t be valued at that level.

"He is certainly a huge talent -  I've been really impressed with the maturity he's shown as he's come into the squad this season.

"Playing alongside Tarkowski at the back, he has been able to get the experience and knowledge to match him in terms of reading the game.

"I think he is certainly a talent and I'm not surprised that the likes of Real Madrid have been linked with him."
