Everton want to sign Dario Osorio and Jack Grealish, Midtjylland will demand ‘big fee’

Everton‘s interest in FC Midtjylland star Dario Osorio is unlikely to impact a deal being done for Jack Grealish, sources have told Football Insider.

David Moyes could add both dangerous wingers ahead of the 2026-27 campaign, though it is understood that any deal with the Danish side will be “difficult” to do due to his current contract.

The 22-year-old, who is seen as a “top young player”, is under contract until the summer of 2030, with Midtjylland wanting a “big fee”. That will not stop the Toffees from targeting both stars, however.

Although the club are taking a strong interest, there is likely to be a battle for his signature, with Everton facing a lot of competition ahead of the summer transfer window.

Sources: Everton’s move for ‘top young player’ won’t impact Jack Grealish deal, but ‘big fee’ needed

Dario Osorio could be a perfect target for Everton this summer

Osorio has impressed after moving to Midtjylland in the summer of 2023, notching 23 goals and 14 assists in 100 matches since, including in the Champions League and Europa League.

The Toffees could certainly have an upper hand if they are to secure European football on the final day of the Premier League season, though that has become more unlikely following the defeat to Sunderland.

Despite an impressive run of results earlier in the year, Moyes’ side are now winless in six matches, seeing them slip to 12th in the table. Form has dropped significantly since Grealish’s injury.

Even with the star winger’s lengthy lay-off, there is still a belief that Everton can sign Grealish on a permanent deal this summer, with his career at Manchester City clearly over.

David Moyes could raid Man City for multiple stars

Grealish is not the only player from Man City being targeted by the Toffees.

While a deal would be difficult due to wages, in addition to the winger’s arrival, Football Insider understands that Everton want to sign John Stones on a free transfer.

The centre-half, who left Merseyside for Manchester in 2016, could make a fairytale return after a decade away from the club, though the Barnsley Beckenbauer is currently exploring his options.

It is clear that The Friedkin Group have some huge plans at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, and a big summer transfer window will only be the start of what is to come from the American owners.
