Everton want to sign Juventus midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah and Besiktas playmaker Oguzhan Ozyakup on free transfers this summer, according to a report.
The Sun claim the cash-rich Merseysiders are keen to take advantage of the availability in the forthcoming window of left-sided ace Asamoah, 29, and central midfielder Ozyakup, 24.
It is said in the Sun that Everton have made a firm approach for Asamoah “in the past few days” as they look to win the race for the Ghana international.
Asamoah has played 151 times for Juventus and has been a key member of the side that has dominated Italian football in the last six years.
Ozyakup is one of the outstanding players in the Turkish league and has made a huge impact since joining from Arsenal.

Football Insider verdict:
Ozyakup is no stranger to football on these shores after spending four years at Arsenal in his late teens. He only made the senior side twice for the Premier League giants but he has made a big impact back in his native Turkey and has become a talisman for Besiktas. The central midfielder, who can also operate as a number ten, has been directly involved in 75 goals for the club – 27 strikes and 48 assists – which is an impressive tally for someone in his position. Little wonder there is such strong interest from Everton. As for Asamoah, his versatility – he can operate wide in midfield, as a wing-back or as an attacking central midfielder – would make him a valuable asset. The seasoned campaigner’s playing style is such that he can settle immediately into the Premier League.
In other Everton transfer news, Madrid giants want to sign Toffees player this summer and are willing to pay an astonishing £40million to get him.
