Everton could be ‘forced’ into Iliman Ndiaye sale as fresh talks scheduled after World Cup
Everton star Iliman Ndiaye is attracting attention from Man United and several other top Premier League clubs amid uncertainty around his future on Merseyside.
Ndiaye has three years left on his current Everton contract, but the club want to reward his impressive performances with a new deal this summer.
The Senegalese playmaker is yet to pen fresh terms and is stalling talks as it stands, with a possible move away on the horizon if he does not commit to an extension.
Numerous top Premier League clubs are believed to be tracking his availability, with Man United among those suitors.
The Toffees will be forced to sell Ndiaye this summer if he does not agree a new deal, as I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast.
Ndiaye recently admitted that he could see a future away from the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
The 26-year-old's next steps are likely to be finalised after he stars at the 2026 World Cup with Senegal.
Iliman Ndiaye leaving Everton could be inevitable amid contract uncertainty
Ndiaye registered six goals and three assists in 34 games last season, after scoring 11 times in 37 appearances in his debut campaign at Everton.
Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "There's been talk of interest from Manchester United and Arsenal, while Chelsea are also admirers of Ndiaye as well. If a new deal can't be agreed and Everton are forced to sell, he will not be short of takers.
"Everton are quite relaxed about the situation right now. He's still got three years left on his deal and I'm sure they'll continue talks with his representatives after the World Cup."
Everton offered Lois Openda as attacking additions lined up
David Moyes is keen to add to his forward options after the Toffees ended last season as the joint-sixth lowest scorers in the Premier League.
Neither Beto nor Thierno Barry hit double figures for league goals, and so a new striker is a must for Everton to push into European contention.
Sources have exclusively revealed to Football Insider that Leipzig have offered Openda to Everton after his loan spell at Juventus ended.
The Belgian only scored twice in 34 appearances for Juve, but has scored regularly in numerous top leagues for Leipzig, Lens and Vitesse in recent years.
