Everton have already felt the pressure from Manchester United’s transfer chiefs and dealt with it brilliantly.

An entire saga began when Man United attempted to prise Jarrad Branthwaite away from Merseyside, but offering nowhere near enough for the talented defender.

An improved bid of £45million plus add-ons was not enough for the Toffees to even consider selling one of their most valuable assets, and the same scenario is rearing its ugly head again.

Everton will face interest in Iliman Ndiaye this summer. It is only a matter of when, not if, clubs from around Europe come knocking for the star winger’s signature.

Everton must battle to keep Iliman Ndiaye

David Moyes has become pretty reliant on the £15million signing, and with 17 goals and three assists across the last two seasons, he has become invaluable.

The Red Devils are now targeting a move for the No.10, being seen as an alternative to Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers, but the Toffees have no desire to lose him this summer.

If Michael Carrick’s side are going to come knocking, the Merseyside outfit need to make the process as drawn out as possible if they want any chance of keeping him.

The Senegalese international could very well become Everton’s new Branthwaite, but the club already have the blueprints to reject any approaches ahead of 2026-27.

Who could replace Ndiaye should he leave?

While nobody at the Hill Dickinson Stadium will want to see Ndiaye playing for a Premier League rival next season, there is a possibility that he wants the move.

In that case, the Toffees will have to be active in the transfer market, with The Friedkin Group having to back their manager throughout the summer window.

Everton have been linked with Harry Wilson on a free transfer, while it is believed that an approach has already been made for Watford’s Othmane Maamma.

Of course, Moyes wants Jack Grealish back on a permanent deal next season, but his future has become a little less unclear, thanks to Enzo Maresca.
