Everton set to 'renegotiate' terms for permanent Tyrique George transfer
Everton are hoping to agree on more favourable terms with Chelsea to permanently sign Tyrique George in the upcoming transfer window.
The Merseysiders are reportedly open to the 20-year-old's return, but they would like to renegotiate the financial package.
The Blues signed the English winger on loan midway through the season and have an option to buy him, but they want Chelsea to sell him for less than that.
George made an impact coming off the bench at times for David Moyes, but it isn't surprising to see the Merseyside outfit looking to reduce the final fee, considering he failed to score or assist for them in 11 Premier League appearances.
The Friedkin Group may look to add more depth to the Scottish manager's squad at Hill Dickinson Stadium in the summer, but it remains to be seen whether they can strike a deal for the young forward at Stamford Bridge.
Tyrique George advantage evident at Everton
Moyes showed faith in George immediately after he arrived at the Blues, with the attacker consistently relied upon off the bench.
In games where the Blues needed more energy and directness in the final third towards the end of matches, the England Under-21 international became a decent option for the Scottish manager to call upon.
The forward integrated himself into the Merseyside outfit's squad and surroundings during his short loan spell and he likely won't need time to settle in if he returns.
Moyes also knows what to expect from George at the Blues and his return would be a no-brainer decision in L3.
David Moyes needs more than Tyrique George at Hill Dickinson Stadium
Sources have told Football Insider that Everton are planning a move for Jarrod Bowen after West Ham United's relegation from the Premier League.
The Toffees' attempts to sign the 29-year-old England international shouldn't affect their plans for George, with the updated plan reported by Liverpool Echo journalist Joe Thomas.
TFG arguably let Moyes down by failing to strengthen the squad with more bodies over the last two transfer windows and they can't make the same mistake.
The coming months could possibly be monumental and determine whether fans in L3 will witness a better season from the Merseyside outfit in the 2026-27 campaign.
