Everton are showing ambition as they look to sign Torino midfielder Cesare Casadei in the upcoming transfer window.

The Italy international struggled to make a mark in the Premier League after his move to Chelsea, but has been dominant since moving to Serie A.

During the 23-year-old's first full season in Turin, he made 33 league appearances, scoring six goals.

David Moyes may have to replace Tim Iroegbunam in the summer and Casadei seems like the perfect robust option to replace the former Aston Villa ace.

The Merseyside outfit's possible move for the Italian star feels like a no-brainer as they look to build a competitive squad ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.

Everton track Cesare Casadei as Tim Iroegbunam attracts interest

According to Tuttosport on 4 June, the Toffees and Brighton & Hove Albion are monitoring Casadei after his impressive performances for Torino.

The news outlet reports that the midfielder's representatives are in talks with clubs in England, but the Serie A club have no intention of selling him unless they receive a compelling offer.

As for Iroegbunam, the Liverpool Echo claimed on 5 June that Ipswich Town retain an interest in the 22-year-old ahead of the summer window after keeping close tabs on him in recent months.

Borussia Dortmund and Stuttgart have also been linked with the Englishman but they are yet to make any attempt to sign him.

Cesare Casadei has successful example at Hill Dickinson Stadium

Sources told Football Insider in April that Everton planned to hold talks with Moyes about extending his contract at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

It's clear that the Toffees want to keep hold of the Scottish manager despite an underwhelming end to the season, with the club failing to win any of their last seven league games.

What the 63-year-old head coach has managed to do is bring the best out of some of the Blues' key players like Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, whose success in L3 will surely catch Casadei's eye.

The Englishman has revived his Premier League reputation in Merseyside after a tough spell at Chelsea and the Torino star should be encouraged by the prospect of possibly proving his doubters in England wrong.
