Everton transfer decision latest as Raoul Bellanova added to shortlist - view
Everton have set their sights on Atalanta wing-back Raoul Bellanova ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
The Toffees are reportedly keeping track of the 26-year-old as they look to bolster their backline in the summer.
David Moyes has relied on Jake O'Brien as his first-choice right-back since replacing Sean Dyche at the Blues, with the Republic of Ireland international playing out of his natural position.
Bellanova is apparently being watched by the hierarchy at Hill Dickinson Stadium as they look to build on their 13th-place finish in the 2025-26 campaign.
The Merseyside outfit struggled towards the end of this season, failing to win any of their last seven matches in the English top flight.
Bellanova made 24 Serie A appearances for La Dea in the 2025-26 season, starting 15 of those and providing one assist.
David Moyes can't risk transfer repeat at Everton
With Seamus Coleman bidding farewell to the Toffees and Nathan Patterson someone Moyes doesn't seem to have faith in, the addition of a new right-back should be a priority in L3.
Bellanova's strengths lie in his ability to keep ball and create chances for his teammates, which is undoubtedly something the Blues have been missing from their right-back due to O'Brien's obvious lack of attacking ability.
According to Sportitalia journalist Gianluigi Longari on 9 June, there's a solid market for the Atalanta star in the Premier League and it remains to be seen whether the Blues can win the race for his signature if they pursue him.
It has been clear for a while that the Merseyside outfit need a new quality right-back to reinforce their defence and they need to make a decision soon if they don't want to be stuck in the situation they found themselves in last summer with Kenny Tete, who ended up staying at Fulham after being heavily linked with the L3 club.

Sources told Football Insider in May that Everton wanted to sign Lutsharel Geertruida from RB Leipzig in the summer, following his loan spell at Sunderland.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka is another player being linked with a return to the Premier League after suffering relegation with West Ham United in the 2025-26 campaign.
In Geertruida and the former Manchester United ace, the Toffees may have two players who have experience of the English top flight and may be seen as better options to strengthen the backline at the Merseyside outfit.
