Everton are hoping to keep Iliman Ndiaye at the club this summer despite mounting interest across the Premier League.

Manchester United are among several clubs said to be tracking the 26-year-old, who is under contract at Hill Dickinson until 2029 and has, so far, shown no willingness to sign a new one.

Any potential move will almost certainly have to come after this summer's World Cup, with Ndiaye set to play a key part for Senegal.

Everton already rejected a £40million bid from Inter Milan last summer, but they will be aware that a strong tournament could encourage more eye-catching offers.

The winger played an hour of Wednesday's game as the disputed African champions drew 0-0 with Saudi Arabia in their final warm-up.

The most notable moment of the game came in its final stages, when Nicolas Jackson was sent off for two quick-fire yellow cards.

Iliman Ndiaye fails to impress vs Saudi Arabia

Ndiaye would ultimately end the Premier League season having scored six goals in 32 appearances for Everton - in truth, a disappointing tally.

Ndiaye's form at the start of the campaign had seen him showing incredible efficiency in front of goal, and it was thought that he could be the man to take on the goal burden in David Moyes' team.

But as the season drew on, the Senegal international began to be found wanting in front of goal.

The 26-year-old's goal to sink Chelsea in March was his last, with nine games having passed by without a goal or an assist since then.

Ndiaye's display on Wednesday was one that could well leave transfer chiefs in doubt over a move for him.

The winger created no chances and did not muster a shot, completing one successful dribble and no crosses.

He was dispossessed twice and won just two of the seven duels he contested in his hour on the pitch.

Ndiaye's stance on transfer links

Everton's resolve on a potentially huge offer for Ndiaye this summer remains to be seen.

The Toffees paid around £15m to sign the winger from Marseille in 2024, and they will be aware that the money could help elsewhere.

Moyes is trying to build something, however, and selling your best players is never going to fast-forward that process.

"If there’s these teams that are interested, it means that you’re doing something good," Ndiaye said in February, when asked about links away.

"But I’m a chill person. I’m calm… As long as I’m at Everton, I’ll always give my best for them, and I want to achieve things with Everton.”
