Iliman Ndiaye exit may be Tyler Dibling's route to igniting his Everton career

Al Hilal have reportedly opened talks to sign Everton winger Iliman Ndiaye this summer.

The 26-year-old is said to be open to the move, but it remains to be seen how much the Toffees would be willing to let him leave for.

The Senegal international is under contract until 2029 but has refused to sign an extension that would ward off interest elsewhere.

It is likely that Everton would be more open to cashing in on Ndiaye if the move is coming from outside of the Premier League, and the move would be great news for Tyler Dibling.

The 20-year-old arrived at Hill Dickinson Stadium in a deal worth up to £40million last summer, but struggled for chances in his debut campaign.

Dibling made just 17 appearances across all competitions, but remains a highly-rated talent and could be backed to fill the role left if Ndiaye departs.

Everton signed Dibling off the back of his breakthrough season in the Premier League with Southampton.

The youngster had impressed with goals against Ipswich Town, Crystal Palace and Swansea City in the FA Cup, but it was games against Manchester United which saw his name rise.

At St Mary's Stadium, the winger had won a penalty against the Red Devils, before forcing an own goal at Old Trafford and playing with supreme confidence.

At that point, every team in Europe seemed to want to sign Dibling, but many dropped their interest as Southampton's price tag became clear.

Not Everton, however, who pushed the boat out to sign the forward and remain confident that they will be rewarded for that investment.

For that to happen, Dibling simply needs to play regular football and develop under David Moyes - Ndiaye's exit may be the only way.

Why Everton may be comfortable with the sale of Ndiaye

For all of Ndiaye's brilliance last season, he also produced some significant frustration at times.

The winger scored six goals with two penalties, but registered 9.11 expected goals on target and 5.13 non-penalty expected goals.

For much of the season, his finishing was poor. Ndiaye smashed home brilliantly against Chelsea in March, but appeared to lose his confidence and constantly struck straight at the keeper after that.

Everton will lose a lot. The 26-year-old's numbers for dribbling, winning duels and making recoveries are among the Premier League's best.

However, the money they receive for Ndiaye will undoubtedly assist with the outstanding areas of priority throughout the squad.
