Tottenham should axe Dominic Solanke, two 0% stats are embarrassing

Tottenham Hotspur must downgrade Dominic Solanke and look to sell him in January after his dire display in the 0-0 draw against Everton on Saturday.

The 29-year-old striker was given the nod to start against the Toffees and was simply dreadful as Spurs went yet another game without scoring a goal in the Premier League.

Many of Solanke’s stats were dire, with the attacker not even managing a shot against Everton.

As a result, serious questions are now being asked, with Solanke only netting 23 times in 68 matches since his £66million move from Bournemouth.

However, Roberto De Zerbi should now instead look to sell the England international and reinvest the funds into a new striker.

It is clear that Solanke is never going to work out at Spurs, and both parties should look to part ways as soon as possible.

Against Everton, Solanke was basically anonymous.

According to Fotmob on 14 September, the striker had zero shots, a 0.00 xG, created zero chances, had three touches in the opposition box, was dispossessed three times, won zero out of six ground duels and committed two fouls before he was taken off just after the hour mark.

Therefore, his lack of threat up top was a big reason as to why Spurs had to settle for a draw against the Toffees.

Now, with Solanke clearly a flop at Tottenham, the club should look to sell him in the winter transfer window.

The striker is clearly never going to hit form at the North London side, and Spurs should just cut their losses and reinvest the funds into a true quality striker who will have no trouble finding the net.
