Al-Hilal are moving closer to sealing a deal with Everton for Iliman Ndiaye after agreeing personal terms with his camp, sources have told Football Insider.

Ndiaye has been on the radar of the Saudi club throughout the summer window after another strong season on Merseyside.

The 26-year-old has emerged as one of the Premier League's most exciting players to watch in his two seasons at Everton following a £15million move from Marseille.

An exit is looking likely this summer after Al-Hilal registered their interest in his services, but Everton are demanding a lofty fee to part ways with their star man.

As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast, the Saudi Pro League side are accelerating a move after agreeing personal terms with the Senegalese international.

They are hopeful of completing a deal for his services, with the transfer fee the only sticking point as it stands.

Ndiaye has reportedly made it clear that he wishes to leave Everton and has rejected several new contract offers since the start of the year.

The Toffees are keen to receive the highest possible fee for his services, with 17 goals and three assists to his name in 71 appearances for the club since 2024.

Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "It's my understanding that Al-Hilal have now opened talks with Everton, so they're trying to progress this deal as soon as possible.

"Personal terms have been agreed already between Ndiaye and Al Hilal, so the Saudi Pro League club are pretty hopeful that they can get a deal done."

Everton eyeing Jonathan Rowe as Ndiaye replacement

David Moyes will need to replace Ndiaye with another exciting playmaker if he departs in this window.

Former club chief Keith Wyness has revealed to Football Insider that Everton are keen on signing Bologna star Rowe to replace the 26-year-old.

Rowe is an England youth international and registered eight goals and four assists in 43 games for the Serie A side last season.

He came through Norwich's ranks and impressed in the Championship before moving to Marseille in 2024, and has also attracted interest from Aston Villa this summer.
