Enzo Maresca is set to sanction Savinho’s departure when he arrives at Man City as Everton star Iliman Ndiaye is eyed as his replacement, sources have told Football Insider.

City have lined up Maresca as Pep Guardiola’s replacement for several months and are closing in on officially announcing his arrival as their new boss.

The ex-Chelsea manager will have a huge task on his hands to succeed Guardiola, with numerous moves already lined up as he prepares to take charge.

Savinho was linked with a move away from the Etihad Stadium last summer, and talk around his future has ramped up again ahead of the upcoming window.

As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast, Maresca is content to allow his exit, with Ndiaye on his radar as a potential addition in the final third.

The Everton star is stalling plans to sign a new contract following their disappointing second half of last season.

He has been linked with a move to City and could emerge even further onto their radar if he impresses at the World Cup with Senegal.

Enzo Maresca eyes Iliman Ndiaye as Savinho’s replacement at Man City

Ndiaye registered six goals and three assists in 34 games for Everton last season, while Savinho notched five goals and three assists in 39 City appearances.

Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: “If Ndiaye has a good World Cup, that's only going to enhance his reputation and maybe bring other clubs to the table.

“For Manchester City, a lot will depend on players leaving there, with Savinho moving on and big players like that, but look, it would be a tough one for Ndiaye to get into that City team.”

Savinho’s price tag revealed as Tottenham line up bid

The City winger came close to joining Spurs last summer before Guardiola blocked his exit and insisted that he was key to his plans.

He failed to keep his word as Savinho started just seven league games last term, and Tottenham are now the frontrunners for his signature once more.

Sources have exclusively revealed to Football Insider that Man City will accept an offer of £60million for Savinho this summer.

Spurs are reportedly keen to meet their demands in the coming weeks, and so it seems like a matter of time until he is presented as a new signing in North London.
