Keane Lewis-Potter is likely to attract a lot of attention this summer, and Everton should move to the front of the queue for the Brentford star.
Despite Michael Keane putting pen to paper on a new deal at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, the future of David Moyes' first-choice left-back remains unsolved heading into his final 12 months.
The 26-year-old's contract was set to expire this summer until the Toffees triggered a one-year extension, but even with that addition, no movement has emerged around a fresh deal for the Ukrainian.
That is why Everton need to be eyeing up Lewis-Potter, who was once a target on Merseyside before his switch from Hull City to the Bees in the summer of 2022. It could spell bad news for Mykolenko.
Everton must make a new move for Keane Lewis-Potter
This season, Lewis-Potter has five goals and three assists in 37 matches across all competitions, and while his underlying stats look poor against Man United on Monday, 27 April, he remained a danger.
Given his versatility, the flying full-back would fit perfectly into Moyes' set-up, and if Mykolenko were to depart over the next 18 months, he would be the perfect solution at left-back.
Brentford's No.23 would suit Jack Grealish to a tee on the left flank, with his ability to get up and down the pitch with ease, and once he has possession in the final third, keep his shots on target.

Lewis-Potter was absolutely relentless on the left flank, getting forward at every opportunity, and he's already proven himself first-hand in front of Moyes' eyes just three games ago.
What does Lewis-Potter's future hold at Brentford?
West Ham had also been interested in Lewis-Potter before the player's move to the Gtech Community Stadium, with the Toffees also missing out on his signature.
With the player now contracted with the Bees until the summer of 2031, it could take a hefty fee to drag him over to Merseyside, especially compared to his £16million move four years ago.
However, he would definitely be worth the money should Moyes' side go back in for his signature, with his performances proving that he'd be the perfect addition to the left flank alongside Grealish.
Of course, that all depends on Everton also agreeing a deal for Grealish, who is only on loan from Man City this season, but all signs point towards a positive conclusion.
