What Iliman Ndiaye's exit means for Everton’s Jack Grealish deal

Everton remain keen to sign Jack Grealish regardless of Iliman Ndiaye's transfer situation this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

Grealish has returned to Man City after the conclusion of his loan spell at Everton in June, with another deal lined up this summer.

He won the hearts of Toffees fans last season before a serious foot injury in mid-January saw his campaign end prematurely.

The 30-year-old stayed on Merseyside after the end of the season to continue his rehabilitation, and is not yet fully fit after missing out on City's pre-season tour of Asia.

Former teammate Ndiaye could leave Everton soon amid interest from Al-Hilal, and as I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast, they remain keen to sign Grealish no matter what happens with the Senegalese international.

Grealish is believed to be prioritising a return to Everton, even though they are unsure about splashing out to sign him permanently.

Al-Hilal are accelerating a move to sign Ndiaye, and he has reportedly outlined his desire to leave Everton after rejecting several contract offers.

Grealish competed for places with the 26-year-old last season, but will remain on the Toffees' radar no matter what happens this summer.

Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "I think it is Everton's plan to try to sign Jack Grealish, whatever happens with Iliman Ndiaye. He revived his career at Everton last season during that loan spell from Man City.

"Everton will be in the market for attacking reinforcements if Ndiaye does leave, but it's always their plan to try and get a deal done for Grealish because he did so well for them last season."

Moyes is looking to bolster his options in the final third this summer after Everton struggled to score regularly enough to push for Europe last term.

Beto and Thierno Barry both hit patches of form during the campaign, but neither impressed consistently enough to nail down a place in the starting eleven.

With attacking additions planned, sources have exclusively revealed to Football Insider that Everton remain keen on signing Vlahovic soon.

He left Juventus at the end of his contract in June after scoring 68 goals in 168 games across four-and-a-half seasons at the club.
