Everything Celtic fans need to know about reportedly imminent new signing
By Abigail Withey
Celtic are close to sealing a loan deal with Paris Saint-Germain for centre-forward Odsonne Edouard, according to an earlier report in the French publication Le Parisien.
Football Insider has analysed Edouard to give Celtic fans the lowdown on their potentially imminent new signing:
The forward is just 19-year-old and a striker for PSG.
Edouard was born in French Guiana and joined the Paris Saint-Germain’s academy at the age of 13 before moving up to its B team.
The potential Celtic signing has shone during previous international duties and particularly impressed when he starred for France in the 2015 European Under 17 Championship, which resulted in him being named as the Golden Player for scoring eight goals in five matches.

Since then he has gone on to represent France at Under 18 and Under 19 level, where he netted nine goals in 22 appearances.
However, the teenager still hasn’t made his debut for the Ligue 1 outfit after progressing to the first team last summer.
Instead, the goalscorer went on a season-long loan with fellow French side Toulouse where he only managed to scored one goal during his 17 appearances throughout his temporary spell.
However, his time at Toulouse was cut short after he was suspected of shooting a passer-by in the head with an airgun.
The situation took an even stranger turn after Edouard’s teammate Mathie Cafaro confessed at a later time stating that he was in fact the one who fired the gun before later withdrawing his statement.
As a result, the young forward was sentenced to a suspended four-month-long prison sentence and ordered to pay a fine of around £5,500 along with £2,400 worth in damages to the victim who suffered an injury to his ear.
In other Celtic transfer news, a BBC commentator has claimed the club will be in Europe post-Christmas if they sign this player by Thursday night.
